Around 12,000 law enforcement and support personnel have been deployed across Central Luzon to ensure the safety and orderliness for the observance of Undas 2025, according to the Philippine National Police (PNP).
PNP Regional Director PBGen. Ponce Rogelio Peñones Jr. said the deployment includes augmentations from the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), and the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG). Local government units (LGUs) have also mobilized bantay bayan volunteers to assist in maintaining peace and providing guidance to the public.
The deployment began on October 29 and will continue until November 3, covering cemeteries, transport terminals, major roads, and public spaces across the region.
Of the total number, about 3,000 police officers are on active duty, supported by 1,000 personnel from the AFP and BFP. In addition, 7,600 force multipliers, such as the barangay tanod and civic organizations, among others, are also participating.
More than 600 police officers have been assigned to secure memorial parks, while 139 motorist assistance units and 611 police assistance units have been established in bus terminals, shopping malls, and other key areas.
Authorities reminded the public, especially travelers, to check their respective LGU Facebook and social media pages for traffic rerouting advisories, particularly in areas near cemeteries where heavy traffic is expected.
The PNP appealed for public cooperation, emphasizing that safety and order during the observance of Undas depend on the community’s discipline and vigilance.
