

A total of 106 overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and 10 of their dependents from Lebanon, Dubai, and Abu Dhabi have safely returned to their home country on Tuesday, June 9, announced the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) on Wednesday.
Twenty-seven of the OFW-repatriates came from Lebanon aboard flight number QR928; 62 OFWs and their dependents came from Dubai on flight number EK334; lastly, 27 OFWs, accompanied by their dependents, were flown home from Abu Dhabi on flight number EY446.
The repatriates were welcomed and received prompt assistance from the representatives from OWWA and other key agencies, as part of the whole-of-government approach under President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s directive.
Meanwhile, on Wednesday, the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) announced that 22 Filipino trafficking victims from Cambodia were safely brought back to the Philippines.
