Ten overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and their dependents from Dubai were safely repatriated and arrived in the Philippines at around 1:00 a.m. on May 10, 2026, as the government continues efforts to bring home Filipinos affected by ongoing unrest in the Middle East.

The group is part of a broader humanitarian response coordinated under the government’s “one-country team approach,” led by the Migrant Workers Office (MWO), in coordination with the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) and Philippine consular officials in Dubai.

Upon arrival at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, the repatriates were immediately assisted by personnel from the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), OWWA, and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), alongside medical teams from the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) and the New NAIA Infrastructure Corporation (NNIC).

Authorities provided the returning OFWs with immediate financial and welfare assistance; temporary accommodation; transportation support; as well as medical care and psychosocial services to help them recover from the effects of displacement.

The government also assured that reintegration programs are in place, including job placement assistance, livelihood support, and skills training to help the repatriates and their families rebuild their lives in the country.

Officials emphasized that the operation is part of the Marcos administration’s directive to strengthen a whole-of-government approach in ensuring the safe and orderly return of Filipinos affected by escalating tensions in the Middle East.
