Ten people were killed, while three others were rescued alive after a landslide triggered by heavy rains struck a neighborhood in Baguio City, local officials said Tuesday, August 11.
All 13 individuals initially reported missing following the incident on Sunday in Barangay Guisad Surong have now been accounted for, according to the Baguio City government.
Search and retrieval teams concluded operations around 2:40 a.m. Tuesday after pulling the last of the victims from the debris.
City authorities did not immediately release the identities of the victims or details regarding the condition of those who survived.
The landslide occurred Aug. 9 following continuous rainfall in the area, which softened the terrain and mobilized emergency responders and local authorities for round-the-clock rescue efforts.
