Ten Dawlah Islamiya Maute Group members were killed in an encounter in Marantao, Lanao del Sur, according to a report by RH Jun Dimacutac.

In a Friday report, six men and four women were killed in an encounter with authorities, who intended to serve warrants of arrest for murder, frustrated homicide, homicide and kidnapping, and serious illegal detention.

Five firearms, one hand grenade, and improvised explosive device (IED) components were recovered, including two M16 rifles, an M4 rifle, and an M1 Garand rifle.

Authorities rescued a one-year-old infant, who was taken to the Amai Pakpak Medical Center for medical treatment.
