According to a report by RH Edwin Duque, the incident happened at around 3 p.m. amid heavy rain, according to the Quezon City Police District (QCPD).

Police said the victims had sought shelter under the tree when it suddenly toppled.

The woman, a resident of North Caloocan, was rushed to East Avenue Medical Center but died from her injuries.

Two men were also injured and brought to the hospital for medical treatment.

The falling tree also struck a bus and a motorcycle, police said.

The QCPD, Metropolitan Manila Development Authority and Department of Public Works and Highways conducted rescue and clearing operations to remove the tree and clear the affected portion of the road.

Authorities urged the public to remain cautious during heavy rains, particularly in areas where trees may fall.
