Film producer and businessman Neil Arce has broken his silence amid the rumors of separation with his wife, actress Angel Locsin.
In a statement sent to talent manager Ogie Diaz, which the latter showed on his YouTube vlog on Thursday, Arce called the rumors "fake news."
"Me and my wife are charitable people. Donation na po namin sa fake news peddlers ‘yang kikitain nila sa pagpakalat ng fake news (Whatever they earn from peddling fake news we donate it to them)," he said.
"Besides deserve naman ng followers and subscribers nila makarinig ng kasinungalingan (Besides, their followers and subscribers deserve to hear lies)," he added.
Rumors of their split came after a number of videos circulating on YouTube and Tiktok, claiming that Angel's silence on social media was due to their separation.
The actress’ latest Instagram post was last Aug. 1—a photo of herself and Arce at Angelica Panganiban’s baby shower.
Locsin has yet to issue a statement on the split rumors as of this writing.
Angel and Neil married in July 2021, over two years after they got engaged. She first confirmed that she was dating Neil in September 2017.
The actress has yet to address the rumors.
